The version three (v3) view of the Contract Overview page lists read-only details about your contract that provides access to the Aryaka SmartServices network. The contract is actually the order form (also known as a sales order form or SOF ) you negotiated with Aryaka. All order forms contain a quote number that is referenced as your contract on the Contract Overview and other associated billing pages. Some organizations choose not to display money-related information on the various billing pages. If this is the case for your organization, some table columns (for example, Unit Price or Monthly Recurring Charges) described in this topic are hidden from your view. The Contract Overview page provides two options to view contract details: Quotes view (default) Services view If it is not already open, complete the following procedure to view the Contract Overview page. To open the Contract Overview page Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click the  Enterprise icon in the bottom left of the page, then click Plan & Billing . Quantity—Number of each service type. Typically this is in the form of a license that has a one-to-one relationship with a site. In the case of implementation services, it is a one-time fee, so the quantity is unspecified. Unit of Measure—One of the following: Mbps—All global and regional sites (those that begin with PrivateCore-Global or PrivateCore-Regional) Sites—All ANAPs, POPs, DC Private Access, and Internet VPN Links—Last Mile Management Per Site—All implementation services (those that end in -Implementation ) Unit Price—Price for each unit of measure. Monthly Recurring Charges—Fixed costs that you are responsible for each month when you are in the subscription window (that is, after the deployment window is over). These charges are calculated monthly, even if you billing term is quarterly or semi-annual. Elastic Rate—Optional SmartConnect feature that was known as Oversubscription in Enterprise Flex v2 releases. This field only appears if the feature is included in your contract. An elastic subscription allows you to provision sites, ANAPs, bandwidth and other subscribed features in excess of the contracted amount. The rate, for example, 200%, is obtained from your contract, and is calculated using the unit price. Bursting Rate—Optional SmartConnect feature that only appears if the feature is included in your contract. A bursting subscription allows you to exceed your contracted subscription bandwidth (SBW). The rate, for example, 1.75%, is obtained from your contract, and is calculated using the unit price. The following formulas are used to calculate the different bursting types: Site bursting— Site-level bursting is included in the Standard 2020 subscription (also known as a price book ). It is the actual bursting usage at the site level. It is calculated by multiplying the bursting rate by the bursting usage multiplied by the unit price of SBW for the region where the site is located. Region bursting—Region-level bursting is included in the Enterprise 2020 subscription (also known as a price book ). It is calculated by multiplying the bursting rate times the unit price to obtain the bursting usage, then adding the bursting usage for each site in a billing region. Concentrator bursting—Bursting that occurs for the Smart Access (SMAC) service on customer traffic over a VPN concentrator serving their end users using Aryaka's edge POPs. It is calculated by multiplying the bursting rate times the unit price to obtain the bursting usage. SaaS App bursting—Bursting that occurs related to the use of software as a service (SaaS) applications. It is calculated by multiplying the bursting rate times the unit price to obtain the bursting usage. Private Access bursting—Bursting that occurs on the Private Access managed virtual private network (VPN). It is calculated as follows: Contracted quantity is the number of unique subscribed users at the customer level. Usage is calculated by the number of unique subscribed users in one month for a specific billing region. Bursting usage is calculated by the usage minus the contracted quantity . Inter-Region Rate—Optional SmartConnect feature that only appears if the feature is included in your contract. An inter-region subscription allows you to route network traffic between regions without obtaining a global license. The rate, for example, 400%, is obtained from your contract, and is calculated using the unit price. Deployment Window—Optional period where you are creating, configuring, and bringing your sites online. During the deployment period, you pay for the service actually provisioned (typically less than your contracted amount). The window includes a start and end date, a graphical progress indicator, and an actual status (Not Started, Completed, 54 Days Left, and so on). If your contract does not include a deployment period, the deployment start and end dates do  not appear in this view. When the deployment period is completed, these dates are hidden. Subscription Window—Period during which Aryaka provides the contracted services to your organization. During this period, you are billed for 100% of the contracted services. The window includes a start and end date, a graphical progress indicator, and an actual status (Not Started, Completed, 54 Days Left, and so on).  If your contract includes a deployment window, the subscription window starts the day after the deployment window ends. During the deployment window, the subscription window is hidden. If your contract does not include a deployment window, the deployment start and end dates do not appear in this view. Plus or minus icons—Expands or collapses the individual row. If the row is currently expanded, the minus icon appears. If the row is collapsed, the plus icon appears. Total Monthly Recurring Charges—Sum of the monthly recurring charges for each quote. Unit of Measure—One of the following (per service type): Sites—EdgeEssentials-Small, Medium, and Large VMs (Virtual Machines)—VNF-Firewall-Small and Medium, VNF-Firewall-HA-Small and Medium, and VNF-Firewall-Implementation Firewall—FirewallManage-Small, FirewallManage-Medium, FirewallManage-HA-Small, FirewallManage-HA-Medium, and FirewallManage- <size> License Connectors—CloudSecurity, SecureRemoteAccess-VPN License  Mbps—SecureRemoteAccess-Global-SBW, SecureRemoteAccess-Global-SBW-MLCHN Unit Price—Price for each unit of measure. Monthly Recurring Charges—Fixed costs that you are responsible for each month when you are in the subscription window (that is, after the deployment window is over). These charges are calculated monthly, even if you billing term is quarterly or semi-annual. Elastic Rate—Optional SmartSecure feature that was known as Oversubscription in Enterprise Flex v2 releases. This field only appears if the feature is included in your contract. An elastic subscription allows you to configure firewalls, edge essentials, and other subscribed features in excess of the contracted amount. The rate, for example, 200%, is obtained from your contract, and is calculated using the unit price. Bursting Rate—Optional SmartSecure feature that only appears if the feature is included in your contract. A bursting subscription allows you to exceed your contracted subscription bandwidth (SBW). The rate, for example, 200%, is obtained from your contract, and is calculated using the unit price. Plus or minus icon—Expands or collapses the individual row. If the row is currently expanded, the minus icon appears. If the row is collapsed, the plus icon appears. Total Monthly Recurring Charges—Sum of the monthly recurring charges for each quote. SmartInsights-ENX Services table The SmartInsights service offers graphical end-to-end monitoring of your network traffic including the ability to have last mile visibility. It also offers similar visibility to view and manage your billing. By default, the table's first row is expanded to display all service details. All rows below it are collapsed, which hides the Elastic Rate (if it is included in your subscription), Deployment Window, and Subscription Window fields. The expanded table rows display the following details and includes the following elements: Service Type—SmartInsights-ENX Quote Number—Your sales order form's quote number. Billing Terms—Time period in which you are billed for your subscription and associated features. Available options are Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annually, and One Time as described in your contract. Quantity—Number of each service type. Typically this is in the form of a license that has a one-to-one relationship with a site. In the case of implementation services, it is a one-time fee, so the quantity is unspecified. Unit of Measure—Sites Unit Price—Price for each unit of measure. If your contract does not include a deployment window, the deployment start and end dates do not appear in this view. Plus or minus icon—Expands or collapses the individual row. If the row is currently expanded, the minus icon appears. If the row is collapsed, the plus icon appears. Total Monthly Recurring Charges—Sum of the monthly recurring charges for each quote. Usage calculations This section describes the usage calculations for elastic , bursting , and overage . It also includes billing examples that illustrate various billing scenarios. Elastic The optional elastic subscription allows you to configure a quantity (for example, sites) that exceeds your contracted quantity for a SKU. The extra quantity is considered to be elastic . Elastic quantity = configured quantity - contracted quantity Elastic invoice amount = Elastic Rate * Elastic Unit Price * Elastic quantity Elastic usage is calculated against the most recent quote. Alerts are sent based on the values contained in the most recent quote. Bursting The optional bursting subscription allows you to exceed your contracted subscription bandwidth (SBW) at a contracted rate and is calculated as follows: Bursting (Mbps) = MAX (0, (Usage of the region - (Base Usage + Elastic Usage ))) Usage of the region = Sum (Usage at each site) Usage of a Site = MAX (99th percentile (WAN IN), 99th percentile (WAN OUT)) Base Usage depends on whether you are currently in the Deployment Window or Subscription Window: During the Deployment Window: Base Usage = MIN (Subscribed Bandwidth, (MAX (Provisioned, Usage))) During the Subscription Window:  Base Usage = Subscribed Bandwidth Elastic Usage = MAX (0, (Provisioned Bandwidth - Base Usage)) Provisioned bandwidth is the subscribed bandwidth provisioned in the region—that is, the sum of subscribed bandwidth of all relevant sites. Bursting usage is calculated against the latest quote. Alerts are sent based on the values contained in the latest quote. Calculating the 99th percentile 99th percentile bandwidth usage is calculated separately for data transmitted by a site and data received by a site each month. The 99th percentile used in the Bursting usage calculation is the higher of the transmitted and received 99th percentiles. The calculation for 99th percentiles is based on widely accepted network bandwidth usage methodology, which uses 5-minute traffic samples. Dates and times are based on GMT. The 99th percentile is calculated at the end of the month as follows: One day has 288 traffic samples. A month can have between 8,064 and 8,928 traffic samples, depending on the number of days in the month. The traffic samples for the month are sorted in descending order, based on the amount of bandwidth usage. The top 1% of traffic samples are then removed. This means that the 8 hours in the month where bandwidth usage was highest at the site are not counted towards your Bursting usage. This prevents you from being charged for unusual, short-term bursts. The 99th percentile is the highest number remaining and is the number used to calculate Bursting usage. Overage This section includes the formulas used to calculate monthly bandwidth overage for a specific region (Mainland China or Rest of the World) where NGFW-SWG is enabled for your Private Access Nodes. To view the nodes where NGFW-SWG is enabled, log in to MyAryaka and navigate to Universal ZTNA > Private Access, and then the select a region. The Private Access Nodes table displays True in the NGFW-SWG column if it is enabled. Deployment window overage calculation Overage (GB ) = MAX (0, (Actual Monthly Usage – Entitled Monthly Usage)) Actual Monthly Usage (GB) = SUM (WAN IN, WAN OUT) Entitled Monthly Usage (GB) = SUM (Base Usage, Bursting Usage) * 6 Bursting Usage (Users) = MAX (0, (Usage - Base Usage)) Base Usage (Users) = MIN (Contracted, Usage) Usage (Users) = Unique Users Count Subscription window overage calculation This calculation is the same as for the Deployment window except for the following: Base Usage (Users) = Contracted Billing calculation examples This section includes two examples of billing calculations. Example 1 This example uses the following information to illustrate the billing scenario and associated calculations: Contracted Quantity (Quote 1) = 10 small sites Contracted Quantity (Quote 2) = 5 small sites Total Configured Quantity = 12 small sites Elastic Rate = 100% Note that there was no deployment period—this calculation is for the subscription period only. Usage = 15 sites This is calculated as SUM (Contracted Quantity (Quote 1), Contracted Quantity (Quote 2)) , regardless of how many sites you have configured. Elastic Usage = 0 This is calculated as Total Configured Quantity - Usage . Negative numbers are considered to be zero (0). Elastic Amount = 0 This is calculated as Elastic Usage * Elastic Rate * Base Unit Price . The Base Unit Price is included in your contract. In this situation, there is no elastic usage. If there is any elastic usage, it is shown against the latest Quote number. Here, Quote 2 is the latest quote number. Example 2 This example uses the following information to illustrate the billing scenario and associated calculations: Contracted Quantity (Quote 1) = 10 Mbps Contracted Quantity (Quote 2) = 5 Mbps Configured Quantity = 20 Mbps (this is sometimes referred to as the Provisioned Quantity ) Usage Quantity = 23 Mbps Elastic Rate = 100% Bursting Rate = 100% Note that there was no deployment period—this calculation is for the subscription period only. Base Usage (Quote 1) = 10 Mbps This is the same as Contracted Quantity (Quote 1) . Base Usage (Quote 2) = 5 Mbps This is the same as Contracted Quantity (Quote 2) . Leftover Usage (Quote 1) = 13 Mbps This is calculated as Usage Quantity - Base Usage (Quote 1) . Leftover Usage (Quote 2) = 8 Mbps This is calculated as Leftover Usage (Quote 1) - Base Usage (Quote 2) . Provisioned Quantity (Quote 1) = 10 Mbps This is the same as the Contracted Quantity (Quote 1) . Provisioned Quantity (Quote 2) = 5 Mbps This is the same as the Contracted Quantity (Quote 2) . Leftover Provisioned = 5 Mbps This is calculated as Configured Quantity - SUM (Provisioned Quantity (Quote 1), Provisioned Quantity (Quote 1)) . Elastic Usage = 5 Mbps This is the same as Leftover Provisioned . Elastic Cost = Elastic Usage * Elastic Rate * Base Unit Price . The Base Unit Price is included in your contract. Bursting Usage = 3 Mbps This is calculated as Leftover Usage (Quote 2) - Elastic Usage . Bursting Cost = Bursting Usage * Bursting Rate * Base Unit Price . The Base Unit Price is included in your contract. Elastic and Bursting usage are shown against the latest Quote number. Here, Quote 2 is the latest quote number.
