QoS policies are used to determine bandwidth reserves or limits for each enabled class for a set of sites. Classes must be enabled, as described in this topic, before QoS policies can be associated with them.  QoS class settings VPN Path Aryaka's QoS feature allows you to classify your traffic into five QoS classes. After classes are enabled and assigned one or more TOS values, bandwidth reserves or limits on each traffic class at each site can be regulated using QoS policies. Aryaka's QoS classes are as follows (in order of priority): Real Time Mission Critical Transactional Productivity Best Effort By default, every customer has the Best Effort class enabled and all traffic is automatically tagged as Best Effort. Optionally, users with Write permissions may enable additional classes by identifying them with up to five TOS values. To view and edit QoS class settings Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click SD-WAN >  Quality of Service in the left navigation pane. The Quality of Service page appears. Click Manage in the QoS Shaping tile. The QoS Shaping page appears with the Class Settings tab displayed by default. The status toggles indicate whether a class is enabled, and the TOS column displays the current TOS value for the associated class. Click Edit . Note that if you do not have Write privileges, the Edit button is hidden. Click a toggle in the Status column to enable it (green) or disable it (gray) for the corresponding class. The TOS field is active for each enabled class. Add, edit, or remove TOS values associated with the enabled classes. Each enabled class can have up to five TOS values. Note that the Best Effort class cannot be edited. Click Submit . You are prompted to select one of the following submit options:  Activate Later  or  Activate Now . See  Activate configuration updates  for details. Only classes enabled as described can have QoS policies associated with them, as described in the next section. QoS policies Complete the procedures in this section to view, add, or edit QoS policies as needed. To view existing QoS policies Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click SD-WAN >  Quality of Service in the left navigation pane. The Quality of Service page appears. Click Manage in the QoS Shaping tile. The QoS Shaping page appears with the Class Settings tab displayed by default.   Click the QoS Policies  tab. The QoS Policies tab displays the QoS Policies table. The table lists each policy's user-defined name, description, and current status, which is one of the following: Provisioning—This is either a new policy or an existing policy that has been edited. A change request has been submitted to Aryaka Support for processing, but the latest version of the policy is not yet applied to the network. Fields on this page that have been updated are identified by a yellow triangle on the top left of the field. You can hover over a field that was edited to see what changed.   Configured—The configuration information associated with the policy is currently applied to the network.  Click any of the policies in the table to view the configuration details. The policy's details page appears. It contains two tab pages: Information and Sites. The Information tab page is selected by default. Click the  Sites  icon to view the sites associated with the selected policy. To add a QoS policy Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click SD-WAN >  Quality of Service in the left navigation pane. The Quality of Service page appears. Click Manage in the QoS Shaping tile. The QoS Shaping page appears with the Class Settings tab displayed by default.  Click the QoS Policies  tab. The QoS Policies tab displays the QoS Policies table. Click  Add . The Add QoS Policy page appears. The page contains two tab pages: Information and Sites. The Information tab page is selected by default. Define the policy on the Information tab page: Enter a name for the policy in the Name field. (Optional) Add a description of the policy. For example, why it is being created or when to use it. Click the  Status  toggle next to each class you want to enable. The class list only shows those classes that have been enabled and configured in the class list. After a class is enabled, the Reserve/Limit and TOS fields are activated. Click the  Reserve  slider and drag it to the right to set the guaranteed bandwidth for traffic that matches this class of service. In the event of congestion, Aryaka ensures that traffic in this class gets at least the reserved throughput.   Click the  Limit  slider and drag it to the left to set the maximum throughput that traffic of this class can attain. Enter up to five ToS decimal values in the Type of Service field. A ToS value  cannot  be reused for other classes—it can only be assigned to one class. The value identifies traffic as belonging to the corresponding class of service. Note that to change an entry, you must delete it then add a new value. Recommended Configuration: Assign a high ToS value to the Real Time and Mission Critical classes (for example, 184 and 176 respectively) then use them for VOIP, video applications, and other UDP and GRE traffic. Assign a ToS value of 72 or 80 to the the Transactional class to classify TCP traffic that needs to be treated with high priority. Click the  Sites  icon to associate one or more sites with the selected policy. The Associated Sites tab page appears with an empty table. Click Add Sites button in the table to associate sites. Search for the sites using the search bar. Alternatively, you can click  Select All  to associate the policy with all sites in your network. Click Add Selected to complete adding sites to a policy. (Optional) Click any selected row or  Deselect All  to clear selections. Click Submit  to send a change request with the entries made on this page to Aryaka support. The new QoS policy appears on the QoS Policies page with the status set to Provisioning. To edit a QoS policy Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click SD-WAN >  Quality of Service in the left navigation pane. The Quality of Service page appears. Click Manage in the QoS Shaping tile. The QoS Shaping page appears with the Class Settings tab displayed by default.  Click the QoS Policies  tab. The QoS Policies tab displays the QoS Policies table.
