The Applications page lists the user-defined applications for your account. User-defined applications can be created for the following purposes: To have a custom application identified using IP, port, or domain information. To give a discovered application a custom name. To group this application with others to increase visibility or to simplify management. To add a custom application Log in to MyAryaka. The Home page appears. Click  SD-WAN  >  Applications  in the left navigation pane. The Applications page appears. Click  Manage  in the Custom Apps tile. The Custom Apps page appears and displays the Applications table. Click the  Add  icon. The Add Application page appears. Enter a name and a description for this application in the appropriate Details fields. (Optional) Click the  Application Group  drop-down and select an existing application group to which to add this application. Select one or more of the following application identifiers for this application. Note that if you define multiple identifiers, the matching is performed using  or  logic. That is, if  any  the conditions match, the application is identified as a DPI match  or  a custom domain name match  or  an L3/L4 match.  Aryaka DPI (Deep Packet Inspection)—Aryaka ANAPs can recognize approximately 3000 applications using either server name indication (SNI) or additional deep packet inspection.  Click the  Aryaka DPI  toggle. The DPI Applications pane appears. Click  Add New . The Add DPI Applications dialog appears. Do one of the following: Click one or more DPI applications in the Name column. The selected applications appear highlighted in a dark band. Click  Select All  to select  every  DPI application. This results in a large, difficult-to-mange list of applications. Enter a text string in the Search field, then select one or more of the results or click  Select All  to select all of the matching search results. Click  Add Selected . Your selections from step c appear in the DPI Applications table on the Add Application page. You can click the  delete   X  icon in any row to remove the corresponding application. Custom Domain Name—This option allows an Aryaka ANAP to behave as a DNS proxy. It can then use a combination of DNS and SNI information to identify applications. Click the  Custom Domain Name  toggle. The Custom Domain Name pane appears. Click  Add New . The Name field and Actions icons (Save and Delete) appear. Enter your domain name or SNI in the Name field. This entry can be fully qualified or use wild cards. Click the  Save  icon.  (Optional) Repeat this procedure as required. L3/L4—Aryaka ANAPs and Aryaka POPs can use L3/L4 information to identify applications. Click the  L3/L4  toggle. The Traffic Match Rules (L3/L4) table appears. Click  Add New . The Add Match Rule dialog appears. Do one of the following: Click one or more rules in the Name column. The selected rules appear highlighted in a dark band. Click  Select All  to select  every  rule. This results in a large, difficult-to-mange list of rules. Enter a text string in the Search field, then select one or more of the results or click  Select All  to select all of the matching search results. Click  Add Selected . Your selections from step c appear in the Traffic Match Rules (L3/L4) table on the Add Application page. You can click the  delete   X  icon in any row to remove the corresponding rule. Click  Submit . You are prompted to select one of the following submit options:  Activate Later  or  Activate Now . See  Activate configuration updates  for details.
