Aryaka Network Access Points (ANAPs) are available in different models. A model is selected for you based on your bandwidth and feature needs. One feature that is considered when selecting an ANAP model is fiber hand-off for your LAN network or ISPs. A fiber hand-off is needed when an interface's throughput requirement exceeds 1 Gbps. All ANAP copper interfaces are capable of 1 Gbps. Therefore, an interface that requires an excess of 1 Gbps should use its fiber counterpart, if one is available. The following table depicts the interfaces available for each ANAP model: ANAP Model MGMT LAN WAN M1 M2 F1 F2 FLAN FM1 FM2 FWAN ANAP-1500 ✓ ✓ — ✓ ✓ — — — — — — ANAP-1600 ✓ ✓ — ✓ ✓ — — — — — — ANAP-2000 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — — — — — ANAP-2500 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — — — — — ANAP-2600 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — — — — — ANAP-3000 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — — — ANAP-4000 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ANAP-10000 ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ — — ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ M1 and M2 are internet-facing copper interfaces that have fiber counterparts—F1 and F2, respectively, for the ANAP-3000 and FM1 and FM2, respectively, for the ANAP-4000 and ANAP-10000. The ANAP's LAN interface faces your LAN network and the WAN interface is flexible. For example, the WAN interface can be used to connect to an MPLS provider at your site. The LAN and WAN interfaces have fiber counterparts named FLAN and FWAN, respectively. Configuring ANAP interfaces A mix of copper and fiber interfaces can be used on ANAPs that are deployed in stand-alone mode. For example, you can use the F1 interface instead of the M1 interface on the ANAP-3000 for one of your ISPs, and use the M2 interface for your other ISP. However, you cannot use the F1 and M1 interfaces together. To deploy a pair of ANAPs in high availability mode, refer to Using fiber ports with ANAP HA . To configure your ANAP interfaces to use fiber hand-off instead of copper Log in to MyAryaka using your MyAryaka credentials. The Home page appears. Click Sites in the left navigation pane. The Sites page appears. It displays a summary table that lists all of your organization's existing sites. Select the site you want to configure. The selected site’s page appears. In the Site Information pane, click View on the Site Details tile. The Site Details: < siteName > page appears and displays the selected site's details.  Click the ANAP Info icon. The ANAP Info tab page appears in read-only mode.  Click the Edit icon. The page appears in edit mode. Make the one or more of the following changes as needed:  To configure the ANAP to use the FLAN interface instead of the LAN interface, click the Interface Type drop-down list and select Fiber in the LAN Interface Configuration section. To use the F1 or FM1 interface instead of the M1 interface, click the Interface Type drop-down list and select Fiber in the Primary Internet-Facing Interface Configuration section. To use the F2 or FM2 interface instead of the M2 interface, click the Interface Type drop-down list and select Fiber in the Secondary Internet-Facing Interface Configuration section. See Configure ANAP information for detailed instructions on how to set up your ANAP. To wire the fiber interfaces of your ANAP Disconnect the copper interface from the network. Complete ANAP configuration on MyAryaka. Plug the SFP into the corresponding fiber port on the ANAP. For detailed instructions on how to wire an ANAP, view the ANAP configuration instructions for your ANAP's insertion mode— Edge Routed Mode , Inline Routed Mode , or Simple Routed Mode .  Most of the fiber-optic transceivers available from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista are compatible with ANAPs.
