Equinix Fabric is an interconnection service that allows logical connectivity globally to any cloud, application service provider, or your on-premises devices. Aryaka is a listed service provider for Equinix Fabric, allowing you to leverage their existing ports at Equinix data centers and use Equinix fabric to interconnect with Aryaka POPs. Equinix Fabric’s virtual circuit (VC) works as a dedicated logical L2 connection between the Aryaka POP and your on-premises device (CPE). This VC can be used to configure an Aryaka SmartService site as follows: Using an ANAP (or any L3) device if the connectivity requires IPsec/SVTI VPN  Using an IaaS site with BGP when SVTI is not required Local ECX Fabric connections are available from Aryaka for the following port locations. Note that remote connections incur additional charges from Equinix. Equinix Fabric Port Location Aryaka POP Location New York New Jersey Dallas Dallas Silicon Valley San Jose Ashburn Ashburn Chicago Chicago Seattle Seattle Singapore Singapore Tokyo Tokyo London London Amsterdam Amsterdam Sao Paulo Sao Paulo Hong Kong Hong Kong Prerequisites Satisfy the following prerequisites before proceeding with the configuration: You must have discussed the business model of this connection with Aryaka product team. You must inform Aryaka provisioning team before configuring the incoming connection. You must be an administrator user on the Equinix Customer Portal. You must provide the following information to Aryaka before connecting with ECX Fabric: Your origin location List of local subnets at your location (static routing only) Based on the information provided, Aryaka returns the following information to be used in your CPE configuration: BGP session IPs Aryaka ASN (if you are using BGP routing) While we have made every effort possible to ensure accurate descriptions and screen captures at time of publication, updates to the third-party UI are beyond our control. Refer to the third-party documentation to ensure you have the most recent information. Connect to Aryaka from ECX Fabric Log in to the Equinix Fabric Portal. Click the Connections menu and then click Create Connections . In the A Service Provider tile, click Connect to a Service Provider . Search for the Aryaka Networks Global and then click Select in the search results. On the Aryaka_L2_Service card, click Create Connection . The Select Locations page appears. In the Primary Origin section, click Port . Select your location and available port. In the Redundant Origin section, select a port and click Next . Aryaka recommends having redundant ports configured to maintain redundancy during planned and unplanned maintenance. In Destination section, select Aryaka as the endpoint. On Connection Details page, enter the following in the Primary Connection Information fields: Connection—Enter a name for your primary connection. VLAN ID—Enter a unique dot1.q VLAN ID. Enter similar details in the Secondary Connection Information section. (Optional) In the Purchase Order Number field, enter your PO number. In the Additional Buyer Options field, enter your email ID identifying you as the connection initiator. In the Connection Speed section, select your required speed. Click Next and review your order. Click Submit and wait for the Aryaka provisioning team to approve the incoming virtual connection. After the connection is approved, the virtual circuit is ready for traffic and the state is changed to Provisioned in the ECX portal. Configure BGP session This section is only applicable when the routing is handled by BGP (that is, no IPsec tunnel configured from CPE and there is no Aryaka ANAP at the site). Obtain a /30 subnet for both the primary and redundant VC's BGP session, and their ASNs from the Aryaka provisioning team. Alternatively, if public IPs are to be configured, inform Aryaka support of this. Complete the A-side BGP configuration on your ECX-facing device: Ensure that the physical port on your device is correctly configured. Configure BGP peering based on information shared by Aryaka. Advertise any number of private or public prefixes of any size as per your requirement. Configure IPsec from ANAP or CPE device The configured VCs to Aryaka can be used to configure IPsec tunnels from the ANAP or CPE device to the POP. The configuration of the CPE device varies for each vendor. If you have an ANAP—either with or without a CPE—refer to  ANAP insertion topology for information about preparing your device for POP access.
