FastConnect is a feature that Oracle provides to to connect the Oracle instances to a customer datacenter, office, or colocation environment using a dedicated network connection. Aryaka offers optimized access to Oracle resources by providing FastConnect at our POPs. FastConnect powered by ECX Fabric is available from Aryaka at the following regions: Oracle Region Name Aryaka POP Location US West (San Jose) San Jose, CA UK South (London) London Brazil East (Sao Paulo) Sao Paulo Netherlands Northwest (Amsterdam) Amsterdam Frankfurt (eu-frankfurt-1) Frankfurt US East (Ashburn) Ashburn, VA Japan East (Tokyo) Tokyo US West (Phoenix) Dallas US Midwest (Chicago) Chicago  This document describes the procedure to connect Oracle instance in the supported regions with nearest the Aryaka POP through ECX Fabric. Contact  Aryaka Support  if you are interested in connecting other Oracle regions with Aryaka. While we have made every effort possible to ensure accurate descriptions and screen captures at time of publication, updates to the third-party UI are beyond our control. Refer to the third-party documentation to ensure you have the most recent information. Prerequisites To configure an Oracle instance to connect to Aryaka with an ECX provider, the following information must be sent to the Aryaka Support team, who uses it to configure one or two hosted connections: Oracle location Oracle local subnets Oracle Cloud ID (OCID)—If you use two links as primary and backup connections, you must create and send two OCIDs. Prior to configuring the Oracle service on ECX, you must obtain the following information from Aryaka Support: BGP endpoints—If you use two links as primary and backup connections, you receive two sets of BGP endpoints. Customer ASN—Your autonomous system number (ASN). Peering type—Currently, only private peering is supported. Create connection through provider Log in to the Oracle Cloud console, then navigate to  Instance  >  Networking – FastConnect . Click  Create Connection  >  Connect Through Provider  then select  Equinix: Cloud Exchange . In the page that appears, enter the following details in the corresponding field: Name—Descriptive name for the Virtual Circuit Compartment—Appropriate compartment Virtual Circuit Type—Private Virtual Circuit Dynamic Routing Gateway Compartment—Appropriate compartment Provisioned Bandwidth—As provided by Aryaka Support Customer BGP Address—As provided by Aryaka Support Click  Continue . A FastConnect connection is created and assigned an OCID. You must send this OCID to Aryaka Support as described in the next section (Optional) If required, repeat these steps to create a secondary connection and obtain a second OCID. The BGP endpoints differ for the secondary connection. Ensure you use the secondary endpoints provided by Aryaka Support for this secondary connection. Send OCID to Aryaka The Oracle Cloud Identifier that was created by the previous procedure is required by Aryaka Support to complete our side of configuration. The OCID uniquely identifies Oracle customers and the Oracle Cloud services to which they subscribe. Send OCIDs of the primary and secondary connection (if applicable) to  support@aryaka.com . After Aryaka completes the configuration, you are notified by Aryaka and the connection is ready to use. Route traffic to remote sites Traffic to the remote sites must now get directed to the virtual interface and its gateway that was just configured for Aryaka.
