Aryaka provides the option of connecting a customer’s location—for example, a datacenter—to its closest Aryaka POP over a dedicated private line instead of the internet. This provides connectivity that is faster, more reliable, and has lower latency than the internet. Deployment workflow Customers work with Aryaka to choose a POP for which they require private access based on their geographic location. Aryaka then provides the customer with a Letter of Authorization (LOA) for the selected POP that provides details on the colocation and the rack. Customers are then required to order and provision the  cross-connect  from their equipment to Aryaka’s equipment working with the colocation provider. Customers may also be required to purchase a private link from a provider of their choice into the meet-me room (MMR) or a similar facility of the colocation provider. Aryaka provides either a Gigabit link or a Fast Ethernet link based on the capacity required. Aryaka supports either RJ-45 or fiber-based connectivity. Routing workflow Customers are responsible for configuring any CPE (router or firewall) at their end to establish connectivity. Aryaka provides the option of supporting both static routing and dynamic routing using BGP. Note that redundancy options are limited if static routing is used. More details are provided in the next section. Customer and Aryaka advertise each other's IP address over the BGP session established over the private link. Aryaka works with customer to test end-to-end connectivity. Redundancy scenarios Aryaka supports the following redundancy types: Dual link—Customers can implement two physical links for complete redundancy at the link level. Primary/secondary—Customers can use the private link as the primary link and the internet as the secondary link. For redundancy purposes, customers must implement a dynamic routing protocol such as BGP. Pricing Private port access is offered as an option with any Aryaka SmartServices. It is priced on a per-port basis. The pricing has two components: a one-time fee and a monthly recurring fee.
